A real price isn't available to everyone
A low rent might be a good open-market deal, limited by law, publicly subsidised or tied to a job. It's still what someone pays, but the same offer may not be open to you.
We ask you to choose how you got your price from a list. These options help compare similar situations. They don't judge your rental agreement or tell you its legal status.
Think back to when the contract started
Were you new to the area or already living there when you got the price? That's the point in time we ask about. Your situation today may be different, and you can choose not to say.
We don't publish personal profiles or individual contributions. Every breakdown needs at least five different people, so details about a rare situation don't point to one household.
Start with people in a similar situation
Look for costs from people who could get the same kinds of prices as you. If there aren't enough yet, the whole-city figure can give you a starting point. It doesn't mean every rent included would be available to you.
After you contribute, your private comparison uses at least five other people. If we need to include less similar situations to reach five, we only widen the comparison as far as needed and tell you what changed.
